THE ALL OHIO CONTEMPORARY CERAMICS 2018 BIENNIAL

The biennial is open to ceramists from Ohio and ceramists who personally deliver their works to the show in Ohio. The site of this biennial is Seilers’ Studio & Gallery, 129 South Seventh Street, Zanesville, OH 43701.
How to Enter:
1. Ceramists who deliver one work from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday will have their pictures taken with their work at the site. Their work will be in the show and sale from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. that evening and from noon – 7 p.m. on Saturday. On Friday evening downtown Zanesville features galleries and studios of 100 artists open to all.
2. Ceramists who deliver the work from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Saturday will also be judged and entered in the show and sale during the Saturday hours. The fee is $25 if registered by 8/15, $35 if registered by 9/15.
All registrants should register at: giving at ahoot.org and then mail the early entry fee of $25 by August 15th or regular entry fee of $35 by September 15th to AHOOT, P.O. Box 103, Zanesville, OH 43702. Late Entry Fee of $45 is to be paid at the door on Friday, or no later than 10 a.m. on Saturday. The late entries will not be in the catalog that will be available for purchase at the Awards Ceremony.
All registrants are to email descriptions of their work and a brief bio by September 15. Details at registration.
The Awards Celebration (featuring traditional beverages and finger foods) is 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday and is open to ceramists & guests, artists, educators, students and collectors.
Awards of $5000 will be given at 6 p.m. ($2500 1st, $1000 2nd, $500 3rd, two $250 Honorable Mention Awards & a $500 People’s Choice Award).
The entries may be functional or sculptural (created in 2017 or 2018) that fit upon a 20”x20” pedestal top or hang on the wall (hung by the artist). Commission of 30% benefits future art events in Ohio.
